The Spine Division at Duke University seeks an accomplished academic spine surgeon to join the Spine Division at Duke University Medical Center. The combined Spine Division, a collaboration between the departments of Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic Surgery, was formed last year to better coordinate the clinical, educational, and research missions related to spine care. This collaboration provides world-class interdisciplinary spine care with operative and non-operative experts in a coordinated care model. Coverage may be extended to include Duke Raleigh Hospital, an integral and important part of the Duke University Health System.
Candidates should have an outstanding academic record in clinical care, education and research and a passion for providing the highest quality patient care. Minimally invasive surgical skills and certification by the ABNS preferred.
As a world-class academic and health care system, Duke Health strives to transform medicine and health locally and globally through innovative scientific research, rapid translation of breakthrough discoveries, educating future clinical and scientific leaders, advocating and practicing evidence-based medicine to improve community health, and leading efforts to eliminate health inequalities.
The Greater Triangle area of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill is family-friendly, while offering young singles many options for an active outdoor and social life. The Research Triangle Park, a globally prominent high-tech research and development center conceived around the three academic centers in the region, has made the area culturally diverse, economically resilient and nationally recognized as a great place to live and work.
