Geisinger is seeking a BC Hematologist/Oncologist for a leadership position with a well-established research program and practice at Geisinger Medical Center, located in Danville, PA. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hematologist oncologist to work in an ACR accredited state-of-the-art-facility while teaching residents and performing clinical oncology research. In addition to inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities, the Director will lead Geisinger's NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) Community Site network and other research activities including, but not limited to, industry sponsored, investigator initiated, and innovative cancer care delivery. The research program spans the health system service area and is established on five hospital campuses and extends to four additional community clinic locations.

As Director of Clinical Research, the candidate will be responsible for the research portfolio of the cancer programs; partnerships and strategic planning; and investigator oversight and mentoring. The candidate will apply leadership skills and engage associates across multiple disciplines to further the research program in areas that include cancer care delivery research and cancer genomics through Geisinger's MyCode project.

GEISINGER MEDICAL CENTER: (GMC), located Danville, Pa., the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis

Children's Hospital. GMC, a Magnet Hospital, maintains the region's only Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center with additional qualifications in pediatrics. GMC offers an array of highly specialized medical and surgical services, including neurosciences, cardiovascular services, transplantation, women's health (in the Women's Pavilion), oncology and orthopaedics. The Hospital for Advanced Medicine serves as an integrated center for the most critical patients. Outpatient services are available on and off campus.
