Nocturnist Hospitalist – WMCHealth Network

Summary

Westchester Medical Center, in Valhalla, New York, the major teaching hospital for New York Medical College, is seeking Nocturnists to join the Hospitalist service.

Westchester Medical Center is a 600-bed academic medical center located in the suburbs of New York City, with access to a wide variety of outdoor recreation, excellent school systems, and highly desirable communities. As part of recent expansions, we are looking for Nocturnists who are Board Certified in Internal Medicine. These academic hospitalists will spend the majority of their clinical time supervising residents in conjunction with taking night admissions and transfer calls. Scheduling is flexible with a maximum of fourteen 12-hour shifts/month to accommodate great work-life balance. Our Nocturnists are not required to respond to codes, the ICU is closed and procedures are optional.

As a large academic center, WMC supports fellowships in all sub-specialties of medicine and a broad variety of advanced clinical services including transplant, trauma, oncology, and a burn unit. Cases are highly complex and intellectually stimulating. There is excellent sub-specialty support. Academic appointment commensurate with experience is available.
