The Division of Intramural Research (DIR) of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) is recruiting a Staff Clinician with expertise in cardiac imaging. The primary responsibilities will be supporting the Echocardiography Laboratory and the clinical research program. Responsibilities include supervision and interpretation of echocardiography studies, training of staff and students, and completing research studies. Research interests in the Echo Lab are focused on machine learning for echocardiography data and for images and valvular heart disease. In addition, this position offers exceptional opportunities for collaboration with cardiac MR and CT specialists within the Cardiology Branch, and numerous interdisciplinary studies with other institutes in the Clinical Research Center including multiple studies in the area of cardio-oncology.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory. The faculty in the NHLBI DIR is an outstanding group of internationally recognized biomedical researchers covering a wide range of basic and clinical research topics (please see: https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/about/divisions/division-intramural-research). Candidates should have a strong track record of achievement, expertise, and experience in the area of cardiac imaging. Applicants must have an MD. Salary is commensurate with clinical and research experience. 

Appointees may be US citizens, resident aliens, or non-resident aliens with or eligible to obtain a valid employment authorized visa. However, the candidate must be licensed in the United States and must be able to obtain a Maryland Medical License.
