A hospital in New York is seeking an anesthesiologist who can provide locum tenens coverage for five months, beginning in August with a potential extension. The provider will be responsible for assisting in the directing and coordinating of activities in the anesthesia department and oversee the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgeries and other medical procedures. On this assignment, the provider will see roughly 14 patients per day for general anesthetic care and can expect frequent orthopedic cases. The locum will work alongside 15 other physicians during their eight to ten hour shifts and they will not be required to take call.
