Academic General Pediatrician – Primary Care & Nursery

Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, a nationally recognized, 187-bed not-for-profit children’s hospital in Hartford, Connecticut is seeking an Academic General Pediatrician to provide outpatient primary care, inpatient newborn care, and teaching. Qualified applicants will have the opportunity to assume a leadership role in our pediatric residency program.

Through our partnership with Community Health Center, Inc. (CHC), our faculty pediatricians provide primary care at a large nearby federally qualified health center. Connecticut Pediatrics @ CHC is an NCQA Level 3 recognized Patient-Centered Medical home, serving a diverse and disadvantaged population.

The Center is the primary teaching site for ambulatory pediatrics and continuity clinic for the Pediatric Residency Program as well as medical students from the University of Connecticut, School of Medicine; our pediatricians maintain academic appointments at the University.

Newborn nursery responsibilities at neighboring Hartford Hospital include direct clinical care for healthy term and late preterm newborns and supervising and teaching APRNs, residents and medical students. The nursery team has a strong primary care focus and vigorously supports breastfeeding within the first Baby-Friendly Hospital in Connecticut.
