The University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Disease invites applications for multiple full-time faculty positions in critical care cardiology. Rank and tenure status will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will hold an MD or MD/PhD and must be board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and board eligible in critical care as of their employment date. Advanced skills in echocardiography (Level II) and clinical teaching including application of simulation are strongly encouraged. An interest in clinical research is highly desired; protected research time will be provided for appropriate candidates. A pre-employment background investigation is performed on candidates selected for employment. In addition, physicians and other clinical faculty candidates who will be employed by the University of Alabama Health Services Foundation (UAHSF) or other UAB Medicine entities, must successfully complete a pre-employment drug and nicotine screen to be hired.
