Primary Care Physician Southbury, CT

Western Connecticut Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Primary Care Physician for their WCMG Southbury Practice in Southbury, CT. It is a well-established practice and one of the largest geriatric practices in the state. You will work closely with 6 physician colleagues and 3 APRNs in a beautiful community with great shopping and easy access to I-84. It’s a unique practice because you will have the opportunity to take care of patients in the office and assisted living facilities. The practice is currently expanding to accommodate 3 additional physicians. It is also conveniently located with multi-disciplinary Specialists including Behavioral Health and Palliative Care.

Job Summary:

Our Primary Care medical practice is looking for a compassionate Family Practice or Internal Medicine/Pediatric physician to provide comprehensive care in a team-based environment to our population of patients. This includes not only caring for acute and chronic conditions, but working with multidisciplinary support staff to promote the health and well-being of our entire panel of covered lives. This as a full-time, office-based position providing out-patient services only, utilizing a state-of-the-art Electronic Health Record fully integrated across all our hospitals and sites.

Job Requirements:

• MD or DO with CT Controlled Substances and Federal DEA Registration
• Have successfully completed an Internal Medicine Residency and be Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Interest in Geriatrics a plus
• Full-time weekday 8 hour schedules between 7:30 AM and 7:00 PM Monday- Thursday, 7:30 AM and  5:00 PM Friday and one Saturday in five (between 8:00 AM and Noon/with comp time off).
• Off-hour coverage – Shared among multiple providers, phone-calls only with nurse triage.
