Western Connecticut Medical Group has an excellent opportunity for a full-time, employed Hematologist/Oncologist at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. Danbury is located about 60 miles northeast of New York City in scenic Fairfield County and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York state. Our long established and busy practice includes six physicians and three Advanced Practitioners. Our office is based in Praxair Cancer Center within the Danbury Hospital Campus. We offer multidisciplinary cancer care, collaborating with Surgical and Medical Subspecialties, Radiation Oncology, and Palliative Care. Additionally, we offer Diagnostic Imaging, Cancer Genetics, Radiation Therapy, Cancer Research and Trials, and Psychological and Social Support Services. There is some teaching of medicine residents and medical students.

Our employed practice sees a broad spectrum of Hematology/Oncology patients in the office and hospital. The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in both Hematology and Oncology and looking to join a dedicated and collegial team. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses as well as relocation.

Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital is part of Western Connecticut Health Network, which also includes New Milford and Norwalk Hospitals as well as over 70 outpatient practice locations. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 400+ physicians and 150+ advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
