Northwell Health Heart Failure Cardiologist
Northwell Health Cardiology is seeking a heart failure specialist to join our team of cardiologists and cardiac surgeons and help expand our advanced heart failure / mechanical support / transplant program. Northwell Health Cardiology has seen tremendous recent growth in Long Island, New York City and Westchester and strives to provide comprehensive, integrated care and wellness services.
The Advanced Heart Failure program of Northwell Health is a multi-disciplinary team including heart failure cardiologists and surgeons, trainees, nurse practitioners and registered nurses, as well as pharmacy, behavioral health, social work, and nutritional services. We offer the full spectrum of care to the advanced heart failure patient, including cardiopulmonary exercise testing, hemodynamic monitor implantation, LVAD and transplant, advanced imaging, electrophysiology, and participation in investigator-initiated and sponsored clinical trials. North Shore University Hospital is the only hospital to offer heart transplantation on Long Island and has the fastest growing LVAD program in the region.
This is a full-time, academic position with vast clinical, research, teaching opportunities. The ideal candidate will be board-eligible/board-certified in advanced heart failure. Additional interest in cardiopulmonary stress testing and/or pulmonary hypertension is a plus. The candidate will receive an academic appointment at the Zucker School of Medicine at Northwell/Hofstra commensurate with experience and academic credentials.
