The Division of Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained and board certified / eligible (dABSM) Sleep Surgeon to join our sleep surgery practice at Duke Regional Hospital.This position will grow a true multidisciplinary program in collaboration with Duke Sleep Medicine specialists. Ideal candidateswill have a demonstrated research interest that is relevant to the subspecialty.

The Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery practice includes the Duke University academic center and several community based locations in desirable central North Carolina and the Research Triangle including Durham. The Private Diagnostic Clinic, Duke's faculty practice, owns and operates 80 primary care and specialty care clinics throughout central and eastern North Carolina. Through a diverse and integrated network of providers, patients have convenient, accessible and high quality primary and specialty care close to home.

This position is located at Duke Regional Hospital, a 369-bed acute care facility serving the health care needs of Durham, Orange, Person, Granville counties and surrounding communities. Duke Regional places a strong focus on providing outstanding medical care with compassionate, personalized service in a comfortable community hospital setting. The hospital provides comprehensive specialty services, including cardiology, hematology/oncology, orthopedics, outpatient diagnostic services, weight-loss surgery, women's services, the Durham Rehabilitation Institute, and the Davis Ambulatory Surgical Center. It was the highest ranked community hospital in North Carolina according to US News and World Report. It is located in Durham, NC, approximately 3 miles from the Duke University Hospital.

Ideal candidates will have a passion for providing the highest quality patient care and the skills to build a truly academic tertiary Sleep Surgery program based in Durham County. Hired faculty will have a Duke University appointment at an academic rank commensurate with experience, will be involved with resident training, and will be expected to engage in interdisciplinary clinical and/or translational research with Duke and regional partners..
