Geisinger Pediatrics and the Geisinger Janet Weis Children's Hospital is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Rheumatologist. The successful candidate will be an energetic and collaborative individual who is committed to outstanding patient care and educational excellence. Our pediatric rheumatology group includes an experienced Pediatric Rheumatologist and a dedicated Nurse Specialist. Our pediatric rheumatology practice is primarily outpatient based with inpatient consultations. Children with primary rheumatologic illness are admitted to the pediatric hospitalist service and are co-managed with our Pediatric Rheumatologist. We will consider full-time time and part-time candidates.

The Department of Pediatrics provides the full range of inpatient medical and surgical subspecialty services, including pediatric hospitalists, critical care, nephrology, gastroenterology, cardiology, genetics, infectious diseases and the full spectrum of pediatric surgical subspecialties. We have active outpatient services, including outreach clinics in general and subspecialty pediatrics. Will participate in and contribute to the department's established

clinical and scholarly activities.

Teaching and mentorship responsibilities include medical students from several affiliated institutions, and residents in our fully accredited categorical Pediatric and Internal Medicine/Pediatric Residency programs. An academic teaching appointment is available through Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Many resources and opportunities exist to conduct clinical and translational research, in particular within the Genomic Medicine Institute.

JANET WEIS CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL (JWCH), located on Geisinger Medical Center's campus in Danville, is the region's only dedicated 5-floor, 91 bed children's hospital with a full-service hospitalist program. JWCH's team of medical and surgical specialists provide care in over 30 pediatric specialties, including high level care with a Level IV C NICU and Level I PICU.
