Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Cardiology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Heart and Vascular Institute at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York as part of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy National Center of Excellence. The candidate must demonstrate general cardiology experience with a focus on patient satisfaction. Experience in interventional cardiology/cath lab or heart failure would be welcome. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assessing and managing patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, pre-admission testing and the workup of patients for interventional procedures, IV placement with infusion of bubbles or contrast, and general support to the hypertrophic cardiomyopathy Physicians and coordinators as part of a team approach. The NP/PA will work full time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. in close collaboration with the Director of the HCM Center, with four days at Westchester Medical Center and one day at a satellite full-service office in Garden City, Long Island, an hour commute from Westchester County.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program

Must hold a current New York State PA or NP license

BLS and ACLS certification required
