The Indiana University Department of Ophthalmology, Indianapolis, IN, is accepting applications for a position as Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs. Candidates must have successfully completed a fully accredited ophthalmology residency training program and have a strong interest in academic medicine and administration. At least 20% funded effort will be devoted to administrative responsibilities, and other effort will be devoted to patient care and teaching, with opportunities for clinical research. The Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs will oversee all clinical operations at multiple sites, work closely with the chair and other health system leaders to implement our clinical practice growth strategy, lead recruitment of clinical faculty, ensure efficient utilization of clinical space and OR time, champion access initiatives including analysis and standardization of clinic schedules, and supervise our department's transition to an electronic medical record. Faculty rank will be determined by experience and credentials.
