EM Assistant Medical Director

TeamHealth has an excellent leadership opportunity for a physician to lead our emergency department as an Assistant Medical Director at Lewistown Hospital in Lewistown, Pennsylvania. This ED has an annual volume of 32,000 with 21 ED beds and 139 total hospital beds. We provide 36 hours of physician coverage and 12 hours of advanced practice clinician coverage. Lewistown Hospital is a 123-bed acute-care community hospital, serving the 80,000 residents of Mifflin and Juniata counties as well as residents of Centre, Perry, Snyder, and Huntingdon counties. The hospital has added neurosurgery, bariatric surgery, and other health practitioners, representing specialties from family medicine, internal medicine and cardiology to infectious disease and general/cardiovascular surgery. The facility received accreditation from several organizations, including the Joint Commission, Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation for Echocardiography Laboratories, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, The College of American Pathologists, American College of Surgeons on Cancer, just to name a few.
