Medical Director

TeamHealth has an excellent leadership opportunity for a Facility Medical Director to lead our anesthesiology team at New York Presbyterian Queens in Flushing, New York! We ask that you be board certified with proven and extensive leadership experience and at least five years of anesthesia experience. New York Presbyterian Queens is a premiere level 1 trauma center that performs 15,000 surgeries annually. Working in a care team model, the right candidate will manage over 23 anesthetizing sites working closely with hospital administration, including the VP of Surgical Services, and participate in the day-to-day management of the perioperative area. In addition to clinical duties, Facility Medical Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supporting full and competent staffing of the practice; overseeing and directing the anesthesia program as a unified division through all care delivery areas; creating practice staffing schedules; providing visible and responsible medical leadership for anesthesia services; meeting regularly with hospital administration and other key stakeholders to discuss expectations and improvement initiatives; quality, regulatory compliance and performance improvement duties; and attending TeamHealth leadership conferences and leadership development meetings.
