Job Details
St. Anthony Hospital has a permanent, full-time position available for an employed Intensivist. St. Anthony Hospital is a 601-bed regional referral facility specializing in cardiology, oncology, surgery and behavioral medicine. The hospital is located in midtown Oklahoma City and serves the needs of Central Oklahoma as well as many counties throughout the state of Oklahoma.
In 2016, St. Anthony Hospital opened a new section of the hospital called the "Pavilion." The Pavilion is home to a brand new Intensive Care Unit, The ICU is currently running 36 beds and every other room is equipped with ceiling mounted lifts, improving safety for patients and staff. Beautiful decor and finishes provide a great work environment for employees and a wonderful healing environment for patients.
Ideal Candidates will be:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Critical Care Physician
- Experienced in Inpatient Care
- MD/DO
- No visas available at this time
St. Anthony’s Intensivist program serves the hospital and its Critical Care units. The program has grown quickly over the past few years and 24 hour per-day intensivist coverage is now provided. Practice details are listed below:
- 36 Beds in ICU
- Combined Service (Medical and Surgical)
- 2 Intensivists per day shift, plus an Advanced Practitioner
- 24 hrs of Physician Coverage Daily
- 6a-6p Day Shifts, 6p-6a Night Shifts
- Comprehensive Hospitalist Service to Transition Patients out of ICU
With a population of about 600,000 in Oklahoma City and about 1.3 million including the surrounding areas, Oklahoma City is the capital and largest city in Oklahoma. Oklahoma City has experienced steady growth for many years and it currently has one of the strongest economies in the nation. The area surrounding St. Anthony Hospital has been dubbed "Midtown" and is an up and coming area with new businesses, housing and entertainment. Midtown allows quick access out of the city and into the suburbs - providing physicians with a choice of lifestyle.
