Join a team of four intensivists and six Advance Practice Providers at Cape Cod Hospital to help meet the medical/surgical ICU needs of the 220,000 resident Cape Cod community. Our Intensivist team provides comprehensive ICU care with 24-hour APP coverage of the 11-19 med/surgical/patients on in a closed ICU model program. The ideal candidates would be IM or EM based, could be part-time, or could have seasonal interest of being on the Cape. Opportunities for ED and pulmonary practice work may be available to a suitable candidate.

Program details:

Daytime rounding and direct patient care with APP team. Backup support of APPs in off hours. No designated in-house night shift. Primary attending for all medical patients and co-attending model for surgical patients. Excellent collaboration with surgical colleagues.

Hospital services include acute care surgery, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, interventional radiology, GI, and cardiac services.

Intensivists must be comfortable with performing and supervising procedures including intubation, bronchoscopy, central line placement, and ultrasound guided procedures.

Flexible stretches of 3-7 days.

Successful intensivists in this program will be invested in the development and maintenance of a standardized, evidence-based practice of care that is supportive of our APP team, our colleagues and the community.
