The Division of Head and Neck Surgery and Communication Sciences at the Duke School of Medicine seeks applicants for the position of Director of Research to direct and advance its thriving research enterprise.

The ideal candidate is a nationally or internationally respected researcher, MD and/or PhD (or other doctorate degree) with the skills necessary to develop an integrated collaborative academic strategy that meaningfully engages the research institutes, hospitals, the community, industry, and other Departments and programs.

Expertise in epidemiology, health policy, and health economics would be viewed favorably. Epidemiologists and candidates interested in the communication sciences and population health are also welcomed

Speech Pathologists and Audiologists with a doctoral degree and research portfolio are encouraged to apply. Prior NIH funding and knowledge of the NIH is desirable but not an absolute requirement.
