Pediatrician – NYS Child Abuse Certified

With a strong commitment to raising the bar for healthcare in our community, Nassau University Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center and a 530-bed teaching hospital affiliated with Northwell Health and Stony Brook University.

We currently have an exceptional opportunity for a NYS Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician to join our dynamic team of medical professionals.  

We are currently seeking a Pediatrician to work in a Primary Care Setting. Specifically, you will:  

  • Examine children/order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical condition and determine diagnosis.
  • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury in infants and children.
  • Advise patients, parents concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Treat children who have minor illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, and growth and developmental concerns.
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments.
  • Plan and execute medical care programs to aid in the mental and physical growth and development of children and adolescents.

We require:

  • Board Certified Pediatrician (American Board of Pediatrics)
  • New York State Medical License NYS Medical License, valid and unrestricted
  • DEA Certification, valid and unrestricted
  • New York State Education Department Approved Child Abuse Training Certification
