The Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the University of Minnesota is recruiting a full-time Clinician Scholar at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with strong interest in research. Interest in diabetic kidney disease or hypertension research are of special interest, but not required.

Essential requirements include an MD or international equivalent and board certification (or eligibility based on successful completion of General Nephrology fellowship program) in Nephrology.

Clinical practice will include outpatient clinics in the brand new, state-of-the-art M Health Clinics and Surgery Center, inpatient consult service at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, with the possibility of engagement in renal replacement therapy care at dialysis units in the Twin Cities. Inpatient call will be shared with other members of the Division. The Division is comprised eight full-time Nephrologists, four full-time transplant Nephrologists, and four part-time faculty, many of whom are world-renown clinicians and researchers.

The University of Minnesota Medical School has a strong history of training and graduating top-quality medical students, residents, and fellows, and this faculty position will be expected to contribute to the academic mission of the Department of Medicine and the Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension.
