Executive Director, Emory Hope Clinic (Vaccine Clinical Trials/Immunology)

Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, and the Emory Vaccine Center is seeking candidates for the position of Executive Director of the Emory Hope Clinic, the clinical arm of the Emory Vaccine Center.  This physician leader would oversee all activities of The Hope Clinic, which conducts translational vaccinology research, clinical trials, and laboratory research.

Active NIH research funding includes the Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Unit (VTEU), the Emory-CDC Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) (which includes HIV Vaccine Trials Network [HVTN] and HIV Prevention Trials Network [HPTN]), and a T32 Vaccinology Training Grant. Emory is also a Center for AIDS Research (CFAR).

The Hope Clinic is located near Emory University main campus, has a staff of approximately 55 people and includes approximately 18,000 square feet of space for clinical studies, administrative space, a processing laboratory, bench laboratory space, and conference space. The applicant must be an MD or MD/PhD, eligible for appointment at the Professor level, with a national reputation in vaccinology, vaccine clinical trials, and/or vaccine immunology. A track record of research funding and scholarship, and demonstrated leadership experience are required. Inquiries and applications are invited.
