We have an opening for a nephrologist interested/available to start in 2018 or 2019. Located in Springfield, IL our six (6) physician team has been serving the community for nearly four (4) decades and is the preferred group for renal care in the area. Our team is active with both residents and medical students at Southern Illinois University. We provide coverage to two (2) area hospitals, one (1) LTAC and fourteen (14) dialysis centers in Springfield and the surrounding communities.

Our practice is structured on a rotating weekly schedule that minimizes driving, promotes efficiency and continuity of care. We are a 100% nephrology focused group with no internal medicine and a very robust CKD and ESRD patient base. With the continued growth in the city and surrounding communities the renal care needs are increasing and a new physician would benefit from an immediate practice. As a group we share all patient care and have a collaborative work environment. We appreciate and respect each other, as well as our medical and support staff.

The new physician will benefit from a competitive compensation package that includes five (5) weeks of vacation, medical benefits, malpractice, CME, relocation, 401k and reimbursement for licenses, dues and subscriptions. Our partnership is two (2) years in length and everyone to date has become a partner with our group. We have a reasonable and affordable buy-in. Partners receive a base salary with profit distributions and are eligible to be a medical director and participate in future investment opportunities.

Springfield is an excellent place to work and live. Short commute times and affordable housing are great perks of the area. The area also has numerous outdoor activities, access to cultural amenities, several great dining options, and good shopping. Chicago is 3 hours and St. Louis is 1.5 hours, offering convenient access to two (2) larger metropolitan areas.

To be considered for this position candidates must be BC/BE in internal medicine and nephrology, licensed or able to be licensed in Illinois, possess a strong clinical acumen, have demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, excellent references and willing to make a long-term commitment to the community and practice.
