TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Physician to join our Emergency Department team at Rutherford Regional Medical Center in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. This ED has an outstanding supportive C-Suite and engaged Medical Director on site.

Located in Rutherford County, NC, halfway between Charlotte and Asheville at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, serving a small-town community. Home to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock, the area draws visitors from around the country for biking, hiking, fishing, the Lake Lure Olympiad, and annual events and festivals held throughout the year in the area’s historic municipalities. Major services include family care and pediatrics, orthopedics, general surgery services, women’s services, a cancer program, urology, rehabilitation, imaging, home care, outpatient surgery and services, behavioral health, and emergency care. The hospital also provides telehealth services – first offered for stroke patients, and recently expanded to offer genetic counseling for cancer patients as well.
