The Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary Medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center seeks Medical Director, Sleep Disorders. The UConn Health Sleep Disorders Center is a comprehensive multi-disciplinary Center that performs approximately 1,000 sleep studies per year and cares for patients with all types of sleep disorders.
  • The Medical Director, Sleep Disorders will interpret sleep studies, care for outpatients with sleep disorders and will be responsible for ensuring high quality, efficient care and ensuring compliance with UCONN Health policies and procedures.
  • The candidate will attend in the medical-surgical ICU of the John Dempsey Hospital and share responsibility for the inpatient pulmonary consult service with other members of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Disorders.  Outpatient pulmonary care provided at our on campus clinic site.
  • Appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level commensurate with experience.  The Sleep Medicine specialist will actively participate in training medical students, residents and fellows who rotate through the ICU and the pulmonary inpatient and outpatient services.
  • BE/BC Pulmonary/Critical Care and BE/BC Sleep Medicine required.
