TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a full-time physician to join our Emergency Department team at Florida Hospital in the city center of Orlando, Florida. This high-acuity, 1200-bed hospital has a 95,000 annual patient volume and 50-bed ED with 85 hours of daily physician coverage and 30 hours of daily Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) coverage. Florida Hospital Orlando is the flagship facility for the Florida Hospital System in Central Florida. Florida Hospital Orlando admits approximately 40% of the ED volume and sees less than 1% PEDS; as we have a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department on site that is staffed by our PEM Physicians. Most of our system-wide transports are received at this Quaternary Care Center, however, we do not have ED to ED transfers. All sites utilize the same EMR, Cerner, with full scribe coverage provided to physicians and APCs.
