Advanced training opportunity for candidate with strong foundation in structural heart imaging at the largest structural heart program in New Jersey. Exposure to a full range of catheter-based interventions for aortic, mitral, and tricuspid disease as well as atrial appendage isolation and paravalvular leak device closure. Exposure to valvular applications of cardiac MRI and CT is also available.
Major components of the training include:
Pre-, intra-, and post-procedure echocardiographic imaging for interventions for complex structural heart disease including advanced 3D imaging and analysis
Participation as a member of the heart valve team in case selection
○Exposure to investigational devices as a member of the imaging core lab team
○Training in pre- and post- procedure care of patients undergoing interventions is optional
To qualify for this newly created position, the ideal candidate must have strong transesophageal and transthoracic skills, including basic 3D methodology. Experience and interest in clinical research is desirable.
