Physician

TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Physician to join our Emergency Department team at Florida Hospital in Apopka, Florida. Our 20-bed ED has approximately 50,000 annual patient visits, with admitting 30 percent of those patients. We provide 39 hours of Physician coverage, and 22 hours of Advanced Practice Clinician coverage daily. In addition, scribe coverage is provided for all clinicians. Currently, we staff basic sub-specialty support at Florida Hospital-Apopka, transporting out OB/Gyn, STEMIs, Neurosurgery, ENT, PEDs, Surgery and OMFS to our sister hospitals like Florida Hospital-Orlando, Florida Hospital-Altamonte Springs, and the newly opened Florida Hospital-Apopka. This site opened in Fall 2017 and will allow us the opportunity to double our emergency department to 40 ED beds with a dedicated Lean Track including PEDs beds. In addition to the expansion of our ED and 120 Inpatient private rooms, the new Florida Hospital-Apopka will be adding 2 Diagnostic Cath Labs, 2 Advanced Surgical Suites, expanding the Women's Center, and featuring outpatient rehab services and MRI/CT will be available 24-7.

Our new facility is slated to open November 2017. We will have 120 inpatient beds, and our 40-bed ED (12 lean track beds and 4 dedicated PEDs Beds) will treat an anticipated volume of 50,000. We will also Adding more subspecialty coverage to hospital (Diagnostic Cath Lab, Ortho, GI, Nephrology, and Surgery; Will still transfer out Neurosurgery, OBGYN, and PEDs)
