Physician

We are looking for a full-time physician to join our team in the emergency department at Florida Hospital - East Orlando in Orlando, Florida. Our 265-bed facility features a 65-bed ED caring for 110,000 patients annually, with an admission rate of approximately 22 percent. Our current staffing model includes 77 hours of physician coverage (includes resident coverage) and on average 56 hours of APC coverage (includes APC Training Program NP/PA) on Sunday-Wednesday, with the remaining days of week with 31 hours of APC coverage. At Florida Hospital - East Orlando, we also have a Pediatric ED Unit that has 12 private ED rooms, currently staffed by our pediatric EM physicians and adult EM physicians. We have do have Emergency Medicine Residency Program and Ultrasound Fellowship that are based at Florida Hospital East Orlando. At Florida Hospital East Orlando, we do have a robust sub-specialty support team, however in order to provider excellent patient care, we transport to our sister hospital, Florida Hospital Orlando OBGYN, Neurosurgery, Ortho, and Ophthalmology within our transport system, and trauma cases going to the local trauma center.

In this state-of-the-art lab, physicians, nurses and medical students can refine their skills on mannequins or patient simulators that can mimic heart attacks, birth, and an array of different medical conditions that are encountered in real life.
