Job Description:

Marshfield Clinic- Rice Lake Center is seeking a BC/BE General Internal Medicine physician to join an established outpatient Internal Medicine department.Call covered by the Hospital Medicine program, with occasional backup from Internal Medicine. Approximately 24 specialites are available for support and referral in the Rice Lake Center and adjacent Lakeview Medical Center.

About Lakeview Medical Center – Rice Lake

 

In 2008, Marshfield Clinic integrated with Lakeview Medical Center. In January 2011 a Lakeview Medical Center opened its new facility attached to the Marshfield Clinic – Rice Lake Center. This 40 bed facility includes 16 ER/UC beds, 27 inpatient rooms including 3 pediatric and 5 ICU rooms, 4 OR’s and 4 L&D rooms. The combined campus provides a wide variety of medical services and serves as a training site for the Wisconsin Academy of Rural Medicine program.

 

 

About the Rice Lake Area

 

Rice Lake, located in Barron County is northwestern Wisconsin, serves a regional area of approximately 50 miles radius. The city of about 8,000 has a stable economy centered around manufacturing and retail trade. The area school system provides students with an excellent educational experience. The district consists of six elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. Rice Lake is a popular summer resort area as well as a playground for those who enjoy swimming, boating, water-skiing, and fishing. Held each winter just north of Rice Lake is the biggest cross-country skiing event in the nation, the Birkebeiner. Culturally, Rice Lake offers the Red Barn Players Summer Theatre and Art Center as well as the Northern Star Theatre.
