Cardiology (Non-invasive)

Adventist Health Feather River is actively looking for two mission minded, non-invasive general cardiologists to join our faith-based organization and provide care in our growing rural community of Paradise, California.

• Full time

• Weekend call 1:3 and weekday call (every 3rd day)

• Rounding on weekends and reading studies

• 20 patients a day in clinic

• Fully equipped hospital

• Non-interventional, diagnostic Cath lab (no heart caths on weekends)

• 2 Exams rooms in beautiful state of the art rural health clinic

(AHFR) is a 100-bed acute-care medical center, serving a population of 45,000. AHFR is dedicated to extraordinary patient care, as well as meeting the needs of our physicians in both their practice and lifestyle. AHFR has a wide array of outpatient departments and services designed to meet the health care needs of Paradise and the neighboring communities. Services include cancer center, cardiology, critical care, diagnostic laboratory, emergency department, GI laboratory, home health, hospice (including a hospice house), hospital-based outpatient medical offices, home oxygen, medical imaging, obstetrics, rural health center, same-day services, sleep medicine and surgery.

Paradise, California is a scenic small town about 1 hour and 45 minutes North of Sacramento. It is situated amongst pine trees on top of a ridge between canyons. The hospital is the town's major employer. There are great recreational activities nearby, including the second largest reservoir in California, Lake Oroville, which is nationally renowned for bass fishing. Paradise offers a relatively low cost of living for California. It is something of a retirement community, though there are lots of young families here, too. The town is fairly quiet after 7-8 pm, but 15 minutes away is the college town of Chico. ​

In 2016, AHFR had 5,156 admissions, 819 deliveries, 28,733 emergency visits, and 392,518 outpatient visits. The medical center is staffed by 219 physicians, 1,214 employees and 450 volunteers.
