Through a joint venture, the otolaryngologist physician candidate will spend one day a week in Indianapolis at IU Health (in a faculty role) while maintaining their physician practice based at Union Medical Group.
Union Medical Group is an 82-provider group that is part of the Union Health System. You will work closely and share call with two other otolaryngology physicians. The available physician opportunity is primarily a general ENT medical practice but candidates with allergy, head/neck surgery, and facial plastics experience will be considered as well. Union Medical Group offers primary and specialty care with immediate access to a broad range of treatment and diagnostic facilities including imaging / MRI, urgent care, clinical laboratories and an outpatient surgery center.
The Union Hospital campus houses a 4-year Indiana University medical school program along with a family medicine residency program. You will be based across the street from the 380-bed private room facility named as the 4th most beautiful hospital in the country.
Indiana provides a physician-friendly practice environment with low malpractice rates and higher insurance reimbursement. This position offers an otolaryngology compensation package from $425,000 to $450,000, work RVU bonus, $1,000/month residency stipend, $50,000 signing bonus, $100,000 student loan payments and a full and comprehensive benefits package.
Terre Haute, Indiana, is conveniently located at just over an hour from Indianapolis, two-and-a-half hours from St. Louis, Missouri, and only three-and-and-a-half hours from Chicago, Illinois. Home to Indiana State University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and St. Mary of the Woods College, the location is a regional hub for excellent dining, historic and cultural attractions, outdoor recreational activities and a variety of shopping options.
