Director, Pediatric Nephrology
The Cleveland Clinic - one of the world's most distinguished academic medical centers and ranked by U.S. News & World Reportas the No. 2 Nephrology program in America in 2014-15 - is recruiting for the position of Director of the Center for Pediatric Nephrology. This position will report administratively to the Chair of the Pediatric Institute. The ideal candidate will be recognized nationally for his/her experience and accomplishments in clinical care, teaching, and research. In addition, he/she should have previous administrative and leadership experience. Board certification in Pediatric Nephrology and eligibility for licensure in Ohio are required. A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Excellent opportunities exist for cooperative program development with our top-ranked adult Nephrology program in the Glickman Institute, as well as for basic, clinical and translational research in the Lerner Research Institute. The Center for Pediatric Nephrology, which includes the Judith M. Power Pediatric Dialysis Unit, is currently the top-ranked program in this specialty in Northeast Ohio according to U.S. News & World Reportand is staffed by 5 board-certified pediatric nephrologists and more than 15 dedicated support personnel who provide more than 4,000 outpatient visits and 1,700 dialysis treatments per year, working in close collaboration with our team of pediatric urologists based in the Glickman Institute. Cleveland Clinic Children's is consistently ranked as one of the best children's hospitals by U.S. News & World Report and has 429 staffed beds, of which 121 are on the main campus, 25 in our free-standing Children's Hospital for Rehabilitation, and 283 in 4 other satellite hospitals across Northeast Ohio. Our staff includes more than 300 physicians in 55 pediatric medical and surgical specialties providing over 800,000 outpatient visits, 18,000 inpatient admissions, 13,000 surgeries, and accepting over 1,600 transports per year.
