Loma Linda University Health, Department of Neurology, is looking for the right stroke neurologist (neurovascular fellowship preferred) to join our department and stroke program. This position is designed for the highly engaged clinical educator who can combine quality and metrics-based practice in a collegial and faith-based environment.

Loma Linda University Medical Center is a Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. Our stroke care encompasses a dedicated teaching stroke service, a multidisciplinary neuro-interventional team, a neuro-critical care unit, and a regional telestroke program. This stroke educator will participate in the clinical care of stroke patients, work with our stroke director to establish a neurovascular fellowship program, educate our residents and medical students, and participate in clinical research and quality improvement projects.

Our stroke program is supported with a stroke coordinator, educator, three neuro-interventionalists, two stroke specialists, our departmental research center, and two stroke NPs who respond to hyperacute stroke activations. LLUMC has MRI (MRS, SWI, functional, diffusion-tensor imaging), CT angiography/perfusion, and Diamox SPECT. Our interventional protocol includes immediate access to MRI DWI and perfusion studies.

Our vibrant Neurology Department is a tight knit group with a strong tradition of clinical education and aligned values. Our position offers a competitive salary and benefit package. Professorship is commensurate with experience.

Loma Linda is located between Los Angeles and Palm Springs, nestled at the foot of the San Bernardino mountains. We have convenient access to metropolitan amenities as well as beach cities, skiing, hiking, and a variety of other outdoor activities. This region also has excellent private and public school systems.
