Founded in 1976, the Stomatology Hospital, School of Stomatology, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (ZJUSS), is the only Class-A hospital of stomatology and the leading institution in the field of oral health care service and research in the Zhejiang province. Taking advantage of interdisciplinary cooperation with Zhejiang University, the hospital and school have been making rapid progress in various aspects of researches related to the biomedical and dental fields. At the end of 2021, the new teaching and research center at ZJUSS opened. With 70,000 square meters (8,000 of which is used for research facilities), 500 dental chairs, and 120 inpatient beds, the new center will help elevate ZJUSS to one of the world-class institutions for dental practice, education, and research.
