Job Details

The Department of Radiology at Northwell Health is seeking full-time Body and/or Neuro Radiologists to join our growing Emergency Radiology Division. Successful candidates will be ABR-eligible or board certified and will have completed dedicated fellowship in body imaging or neuroradiology.

At Northwell, Body and Neuro Radiologists have both clinical and academic responsibilities. Clinical responsibilities include diagnostic interpretation of imaging performed through the Emergency Department and urgent inpatient imaging including CT, ultrasound, MRI, and plain films. The typical schedule is seven nights on and 14 days off. Academic responsibilities involve teaching medical students, residents, and fellows at the tertiary centers. Academic appointment at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is commensurate with level of experience. There are also many opportunities to engage in innovative research.

The Emergency Radiology Division was established in 2011 and has rapidly grown as the health system and radiology department have continued to expand in the greater NY area. The division consists of 15 faculty members covering off-hours radiology for the system’s tertiary hospitals and expanding community hospital network, including three Level I and two Level II trauma centers, and a children's hospital. The Emergency Radiology Division performs approximately 100,000 cross sectional examinations per year and provides in-house consultation for the emergency department, trauma team, and related specialty services.
