The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City is pleased to announce that it seeks a Chief of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Bone Disease to drive the further excellence in clinical care, translational and basic research, teaching, and overall academic excellence in what is already an outstanding Division. Mount Sinai ranks #15 in the US and #2 in New York in NIH grant support, with outstanding existing programs in diabetes, obesity, beta cell regeneration, autoimmunity, thyroid disease, neuroendocrinology, adrenal disease, and bone disease. Mount Sinai has one of the few artificial pancreas programs in the US, and the largest academic medical center outpatient programs for clinical research in the US. The next Division Chief will build on this platform, and will benefit from world-class programs in genetic and genomics, personalized medicine, cardiovascular biology, hepatobiliary biology, nephrology, neuroscience, immunology and autoimmunity, microbiota, stem cell biology, neurosurgery, global population health, and a newly renewed CTSA. The cultural, athletic, and intellectual environment on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is unparalleled.
