Location: Research CenterWork Schedule: DaysWork Type: FULL TIMEHiring Manager: Janet Robishaw A NIH-funded position is available for a skilled and highly motivated individual to elucidate the mechanism underlying the post-transcriptional regulation of a critical signaling component in brain. The potential candidate will utilize primary cells, novel mouse models, and proprietary human genotype-phenotype databases to investigate the importance of synaptic dopamine signaling in shaping circuit output and contributing to neurological disorders such as ADHD, learning disorders, and drug abuse. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in the field of neurobiology with expertise in RNA biology (
dendritic targeting, localized mRNA translation). Additional skills in genome editing or iPS cells is desirable but not required. She/He will also have a demonstrated potential for research as evidenced by training and peer reviewed publications and is expected to be competitive for national research grants. The position is available immediately and more advanced candidates at the rank of Research Scientist or Research Assistant Professor will be considered with appropriate qualifications.
