GOUVERNEUR HEALTH SEEKS A BOARD ELIGIBLE OR BOARD CERTIFIED PRIMARY CARE INTERNIST

Gouverneur Health, an ambulatory diagnostic and treatment center on Manhattan's Lower East Side seeks a Board Eligible or Board Certified primary care internist to join our Department of Medicine. Gouverneur is a part of the New York Health and Hospitals Corporation and a primary teaching site for the New York University School of Medicine Primary Care Residency. Responsibilities of the position include providing primary care to a diverse patient population, teaching New York University Medical Students, and may also include precepting primary care residents or attending on the Medicine Service at Bellevue Medical Center. Gouverneur has state-of-the-art diagnostic capabilities including radiology, ultrasound, CT scan, echocardiography, and stress testing. The facility also includes pediatrics, ob-gyn, and a broad variety of medical and surgical sub-specialties. Because we seek to provide culturally sensitive care to our patients the successful candidate will fluently speak Spanish or a Chinese dialect.
