Central Maine Healthcare (CMHC) is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving some 400,000 people living in central, western, and mid-coast Maine. CMHC's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital, and Rumford Hospital. CMHC's array of services includes the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute and a regional trauma program. CMHC is seeking an experienced leader to support the development of clinical information systems that assist clinicians in the delivery of high quality patient care in the organization. The CMIO will represent the needs and requirements of the provider community and serves as an advocate of management in promoting the use of information technology in the clinical setting. The successful candidate will have a provider appointment in one of the clinical departments in Central Maine Healthcare. While serving as the CMIO, the physician recruited to this role will dedicate approximately 50% effort to maintaining an active medical practice, providing patient care in an appropriate clinical setting.
