Physician Assistants

SUNY Downstate is one of the nation's leading urban medical centers located in Brooklyn, NY has career opportunities for Physician Assistants in the Medicine department to perform admission histories and physical examinations on newly-admitted and transferred patients to the medical service.

Core Responsibilities:

• Initiate diagnostic evaluation and therapeutics.
• Monitor and manage inpatient; maintain medical records.
• Perform selected procedures, including venipuncture, arterial punctures, IV insertions, and NG tube placement.

Core Requirements: NYS License and Bachelor's degree from an approved Physician's Assistant Program. Current Certification in BCLS/ACLS.
