The King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (General Organization) (KFSH&RC-Gen Org) is a tertiary care, state-of-the-art Hospital situated in the cities of Riyadh and Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and accredited by the Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA). Our combined bed capacity of 1,452 is dispersed over three locations. KFSH&RC is the national referral of sub-specialties for Oncology, Organ Transplantation, Cardiovascular Diseases, Neurosciences, and Genetic Diseases, with postgraduate education programs that support both Residency and Fellowship Training. Expansion projects are planned, including the development of a Pediatric Care Hospital, a dedicated Oncology & Liver Centre, and a Biotechnology Centre.

The Department of Anesthesiology provides quality anesthetic care to all subspecialties of Anesthesia except major trauma. The case mix consists of complex cases with approximately 60% ASA III and above and significant properties being pediatric cases. The Department comprises of about 70 Anesthetists distributed to seven (7) sub-specialities including: Cardiac, Pediatric, Neuro, Transplant, Obstetrics and Outlying Areas, Orthopedics, and Pain Management. The Department has an active fellowship program in Cardiac Anesthesia, Pediatric Anesthesia, and Pain Management. Anesthetic care is also being provided outside the operating rooms including Labor & Delivery, Radiology Suites, Radiation Therapy, Dermatology, and Endoscopy unit.

Qualified candidates will have graduated from an accredited medical school in good standing, completion of required period of postgraduate training in a specialty and/or subspecialty with American Board or Canadian/UK certification or equivalent. Sub-specialty training and certification (if applicable) is required. Years of training in specialty/subspecialty plus postgraduate training must be equal to or greater than seven (7) years. Has worked in the specialty/subspecialty as a consultant for at least two (2) years.
