FACULTY POSITION, DEPARTMENT OF MEDICINE: Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, is now accepting applications for a full-time employed faculty position in the Department of Medicine as a Division Director in the Division of Pulmonary/Critical Care and Director of the Korman Lung Center at Jefferson. Applicants should have qualifications to meet senior faculty rank.

The Division of Pulmonary/Critical Care achieved Level 3 status as a Patient-Centered Specialty Practice (PCSP) from the National Center for Quality Assurance. U.S. News & World Report’s annual listing of top hospitals and specialties named Jefferson High Performing in Pulmonology.

The new Chief will have responsibility for a well-established, dynamic academic program by establishing the clinical and scientific direction of the Division, recruitment of both junior and senior clinical investigators and clinicians, and ensuring a strong education program. The Chief will have responsibility as Director of the Korman Lung Center. The Jane and Leonard Korman Lung Center at Jefferson offers patients a full array of services and capabilities with emphasis on lung cancer and lung biology research.

Applicants must have MD degree or equivalent and be board certified in the field of pulmonary/critical care. In addition, he/she should have a national reputation for excellence in clinical care or clinical or basic science research, demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a record of interdisciplinary collaboration, and should be eligible for appointment to the rank of Associate Professor or Professor of Medicine.

Applicants should have research, clinical, and faculty experience. Responsibilities will include patient care in the hospital, outpatient and consultation settings, teaching, and research.
