At the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking additional faculty for appointment in the School of Medicine's Department of Medicine. Salary/rank commensurate with experience. Candidates must demonstrate a strong interest and experience in the clinical management of HIV, and other infectious diseases. Opportunity for additional involvement within the division's international program also available, if interested. Applicants must be board-certified in internal medicine; board eligible or board certified in infectious diseases. Responsibilities will include providing comprehensive clinical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings to patients with infectious diseases, including HIV and HCV infections, as well as, educational activities directed at fellows and housestaff. Major interests of the IHV Clinical Research Division include chronic viral pathogenesis, viral immunoregulation, and the development and clinical evaluation of immunological, gene therapeutic and novel biological approaches to therapy of chronic human viral pathogens. Viral pathogens of programmatic interest include HIV, HTLV-I/II, HPV, HCV, and HSV-6.
