The Vascular Medicine Institute (VMI) at the University of Pittsburgh seeks outstanding, independent, NIH-funded scientists for new Associate Professor positions. The VMI Scholars program will support qualified investigators with newly renovated laboratory space, full salary support, and significant seed investments to promote innovative high-risk/high-reward research. VMI scholars will be members of the VMI and have primary appointments in basic or clinical departments (i.e. Pharmacology and Chemical Biology, Cell Biology, Bioengineering, Pathology, Surgery, or Medicine, etc.). Successful applicants will be established PhD or MD/PhD investigators with extramural funding from the National Institutes of Health or another governmental agency.
