Successful applicants will have >3 years leadership experience in medical pain practice, expertise in practice management, as well as a sterling regional reputation as a clinician (minimum 7 years clinical experience since fellowship). They will be expected to demonstrate ability to promote excellent region-wide referral relationships, coach colleagues in practice development and foster academic achievement.

Residents from the Department of Anesthesiology’s fully accredited residency programs as well as rotating fellows are part of our pain medicine team which includes nine interventional pain specialists, physiatrists, a psychiatrist, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and medical assistants. The group currently practices at the flagship pain center (Baptist Hospital in Uptown New Orleans) as well as at five additional community facilities in the region. Ochsner Health System Department of Anesthesiology includes 70 anesthesiologists, 100 CRNAs, and >30 house staff, with an annual case volume of >52,000.
