Job Details

Danbury Hospital is currently seeking a daytime Academic Hospitalist to join our core faculty. In this role, you will serve as one of the principle clinician educators for medical residents and medical students at Danbury Hospital. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  1. Serving as teaching attending on one of the six medical teaching services by supervising direct patient care in a way that helps foster resident autonomy while maintaining excellent, safe and patient-centric-care;
  2. Participating in formal didactic teaching activities such as noon conferences, journal club, and Board review;
  3. Serving as a preceptor to medical students and/or mentor to internal medicine residents;
  4. Supervising residents in performance improvement projects;
  5. Supervising residents in clinical research projects.

This position requires a minimum formal education of MD/DDS. and at least three years of job-related experience. You must possess a Connecticut State and Federal Narcotic Use Registration. Ideal candidates will have prior teaching and/or research experience.
