The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is currently recruiting for three full-time faculty positions in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Appointees to the Health Sciences Clinical series are required to teach, participate in university service, and provide direct patient care and engage in creative work.

Applicants must have MD or MD/PhD degree, be Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Certified/Board eligible Infectious Diseases, and be eligible for medical licensure in the State of California. Candidates must have experience in Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infection Prevention. Additionally, strong clinical skills in the management of Infectious Diseases. Experience in or the ability to teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows is required. The ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment is required. The focus of this position is to develop a Center of Excellence on Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infection Prevention. Preferred strong clinical skill in the management of Infectious Diseases.

Antimicrobial Stewardship – Involvement in the management of outpatient IV antimicrobial use. Control and optimize in-patient antimicrobial use.

Participate in surveillance and evaluation of hospital-associated infections.

Provide patient care for patients with Infectious Diseases.
