The Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at Loma Linda University is seeking a clinical faculty in allergy and immunology to expand our Division. The position will include duties in the outpatient clinic managing patients with allergy and immunologic disorders, including primary supervision for the nurse administered antigen shots given to patients three days per week. Occasional inpatient consults may be needed. Approximately 20% protected time will be provided for scholarly endeavors.

We invite applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level or above. Candidates should possess academic interests, research aptitude, board certified or eligible in Allergy and Immunology.

The candidate will join an academic division that includes faculty at three locations: Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda VA Medical Center, and Riverside University Medical Center. Our training program matriculates three pulmonary and critical care fellows per year. Our research and academic interests include high altitude medicine, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, ultrasound-guided bronchoscopy, interventional pulmonology, critical care ultrasound, sedation management, pulmonary hypertension, sleep disorders, hyperbaric medicine, sepsis, hemodynamic monitoring, critical care procedures, biomarker discovery, ethics and humanities in medicine.

About the area

Loma Linda University is located between Los Angeles and Palm Springs in an area known as the Inland Empire. Nestled at the foot of the San Bernardino mountains, we have convenient access to beach cities, skiing, hiking, and a variety of other outdoor activities. This region also has excellent private and public school systems.
