The institution is a comprehensive cancer center whose purposes are the treatment and control of cancer, the advancement of biomedical knowledge through laboratory and clinical research, and the training of scientists, physicians, and other health care workers. The Lymphoma Service in the Division of Hematologic Malignancies, Department of Medicine, is seeking full-time faculty members who specialize in the treatment of lymphoma. The successful candidate will participate in a large and growing clinical and translational research program, which is supported by an NCISPORE grant and an LLS-SCOR grant. Ideally, the candidate should have expertise and/or interest in the area of ctDNA, biomarker-based trials, and immunotherapy, including CAR T cells. The candidate should have: MD or MD/PhD; Experience in the care of patients diagnosed with lymphoma' Completed a fellowship and be either board-eligible or board certified in Medical Oncology; Requirements for licensure in New York State; Track record of peer reviewed publications in hematologic malignancies; Interest in teaching medical students, house staff, and medical hematology/oncology fellows. Additionally, we are seeking a medical oncologist whose exclusive clinical focus will be leading the care of hospitalized lymphoma patients. Responsibilities include: attending on the inpatient lymphoma service, overseeing a team of Fellows, house staff, and APPs; close coordination with the outpatient lymphoma medical oncologists to ensure seamless transitions in care; protected non-clinical time, during which opportunities for academic productivity in the realms of research, medical education, quality improvement, etc., will be tailored to the candidate's strengths/interests and institutional priorities. The ideal candidate will have: Board certification/eligibility in Medical Oncology; Outstanding clinical skills, particularly in the provision of acute, inpatient care; Strong communication and teamwork skills; Enthusiasm for educating Fellows and house staff.
